Abstract
-
A study was made of the relationship between the productivity and the Assumed Similarity measures, ASp, ASn, and ASo, obtained from 71 surveyors in 22 surveying teams. The ASn and ASo scores of the team's most preferred co-worker were correlated negatively with the team's productivity; similar results were obtained previously with basketball teams. Team members who selected as their co-worker a person with high assumed similarity were rated as congenial, which indicated that the most congenial teams were not the most productive teams.
