Abstract
-
Test were conducted on specimens of coiled stainless steel tubing and torsional tubes to determine the validity of the theoretical analysis of stress and deformations arising form pressure and mechanical flexure. A manual for the design of coiled stainless steel tubing for use in aircraft hydraulic and pneumatic systems was prepared and based on the test data.
