Abstract
A summary of the mass spectrometric investigation of the vapor phase of group IV-group VI compounds is given. Thermochemically obtained values for the dissociation energies of the MeX molecules are compared to the spectroscopic values. Polymerization energies of MeX and atomization energies of MeX2 molecules are presented.
