Abstract
-
Tests have been conducted to determine the effects of condensation of nitrogen in the AEDC Hotshot Tunnels H and F. Free-stream static pressure was determined by an extrapolation of sharp flat-plate pressure data and an analysis of the nozzle static pressures. It is shown that the amount of supersaturation that can be achieved at high Mach numbers in air can also be obtained using nitrogen as the test gas.
