Abstract: A representative survey of the literature of aerodynamic noise was made. This was not intended to be an exhaustive list but rather to give the state of the field presently. It was found that much of the research done in this field is either experimental or semi-empirical. This is primarily due to the complex nature of the theory of turbulence.
